motors and generators:
Electric motors are machines that can convert electric energy into kinetic energy. Examples of motors are fans, blenders, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners. Motors use magnetism because they have electromagnets inside of them and the magnets run the motor.
Generators are machines that convert kinetic energy into electric energy. Examples of generators are power plants and windmills. Generators use electromagnets because they have electromagnets inside of them where a current is generated from the kinetic force the generator is receiving.
How do these relate to fires?
Motors can overheat and cause a fire. Prevent fires by making sure the motor you buy works well and isn't in bad shape.Generators can cause fires in the home if the generator was plugged into an outlet. If this were to happen, the house if not under the protection of a circuit breaker, the wires could overheat causing a fire in your home. This can be prevented by not plugging in generators into outlets and paying more attention
